Acting Commissioner Clarifies Findings on Those Listed on SSA Rolls

Millions of people listed above the age of 100 had the date of death field set to “false.”

Acting Commissioner Lee Dudek of the Social Security Administration (SSA) stated that millions of people over the age of 100 listed on the agency’s records may not have been receiving SSA payments. President Donald Trump and his advisor Elon Musk each made statements about the possibility that federal funding was being sent to those with impossible ages who were listed alive in SSA records.

“I also want to acknowledge recent reporting about the number of people older than age 100 who may be receiving benefits from Social Security,” Acting Commissioner Dudek stated. “The reported data are people in our records with a Social Security number who do not have a date of death associated with their record. These individuals are not necessarily receiving benefits.”

The millions of people whose death fields were set to “false” raised concerns over potential fraud.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors to receive God’s wisdom as they seek to reduce government spending.
  • For Acting Commissioner Dudek as he evaluates the accuracy and legitimacy of social security payments.
  • For members of the Senate as they hold confirmation hearings for the president’s nominee for SSA commissioner, Frank Bisignano.
